2010 is here. On Monday I drove out to In Stitches in Virginia and found some wonderful linens. These clean, fresh fabrics hold all the promise of the new year. Can't wait to see what it brings!
“Home Subjects” is a new research working group which aims to illuminate the domestic display of art in Britain in its historical context, c.1750-1900. Our goal is to examine the notion of the home as the ideal place to view works of art, a view which intertwined in all areas of art and design throughout the nineteenth century, despite the prevailing historical narrative of the development of public museums.
Lucky you, going to In Stitches! Love the new stash. Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2010!
